This is one I knocked off quickly for a club pic. The figure is trapped in a dungeon, but has not lost his spirit. I did it in the old comic-book style I like.

Is the gryph saying, "Oh please rub my belly!!! A little to the right...a tad up...THERE! Yeah scratch...OOOOOHHHHHH!!! (contented sigh)"? I would, especially if I was couped up inside and had all those hot feathers and no air conditioning.

P.S. Yeah!!!!First comment!

:-) Kit CW Kederich replies: "That is probably what I would be saying.... But since it was an RPG scene, he was mostly just knocked out cold."

Interesting..

:-) Kit CW Kederich replies: "It was an interesting RPG. Of course, my gryphon was captured after the electrified bars knocked him out."

The griffin doesn't look knocked out cold- it's arms and legs are still in theair. Perhaps if it went limp, it's arms lying on the floor, and it's eye rolled up or something... yeah. That would fix it! I like the girl in this one better as well. And the cage is very cool! Love that design.

cheese

:-) Kit CW Kederich replies: "I did spend more time on the chick in this one, and decided to practice more on fem figures. The gryphon's pose I took from a photo I found of a sleeping lion, they really do sprawl that way. He is not clear out, but paralyzed from the shock imparted by the bars. Just a rescue gone bad, and he was caught in an undignified pose. In part, I wanted to do a gryph in a pose not done before. At least, I've never seen this pose in a gryph before!"

Very good... *comes to the rescue and saves the day* i think i just may hang out with em for awhile now. 2

:-) Kit CW Kederich replies: "Rescue always welcomed! I'd like to hang out with gryphons,,, all day and maybe the rest of my life! Please feel invited to do the same! Gryphons need company too."

Interesting drawing. I like it. The pose is unusual, and I like that. Again, you do a fantastic job with the wings and the head.

:-) Kit CW Kederich replies: "Purr,, people will think I hired you. Er, how much do you charge for compliments?"

Funny, you said nothing of the other figure and that's whom I find ym attention drawn to. While the gryphon looks like it was stuffed and set down the wrong way up, the other being seems calculating and watchful. Makes me wonder. Of all your ladies, I think I like the style of her the most but even she is very masculine in figure (And now you're going to go and tell me that it IS a man).

2 Kit CW Kederich replies: "You would have had to be in the group as the story unfolded to get all of this. The figure in the cage is really an enemy taking on the form of a friend, and the gryphon walked right into the trap. He does that a lot. So, sureeee, she is calculating, sly, sinister. Yeah, I borrowed the idea of the figure from a Boris Vallejo figure. He is a steroid freak artist."

Poor gryphon... in all the pictures with him in it, he is always getting the crap kicked out of him by that stupid girl! Can’t the gryphon simply kill her? I doubt she could overpower him...

You sure like to draw detailed muscle... is it a style?

12 Kit CW Kederich replies: "Different gal in each pic, actually. I suppose that as a dedicated bachelor I tend to envision a lot of trouble coming from females (been my experience so far, but we shant go into that!) and thus express it that way in my drawings. I also thought I'd rather be looking at a lythe and dramatic fem than some grubby Conan-type, heh. As to style or type of drawing, yes, I tend to over-muscle the gryphons, as several viewers have pointed out. Still, I wanted them to convey a distinct sense of power and strength. I think I managed that, don't you? Still, how might you picture them? Thanks for commenting!"
